Carl has toured as a featured soloist with Billy Joel since 2006, participating in the mega-sellout Madision Square Garden dates and appearing on Billy's latest CD, 12 Gardens Live, as well holding down the trumpet chair for the Tony-winning Broadway production of "Movin' Out." His resume includes recordings with Mariah Carey and Sophie B. Hawkins and tours with Shakira, Will Smith, Blue Man Group, Mary Wilson & The Supremes, The Temptations, Maynard Ferguson, Blood, Sweat & Tears, The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Wynton Marsalis, and many others. Carl also leads his own band, Carl Fischer & Organic Groove Ensemble.
